BUFFALO, N.Y.(AP) – Seven members of singer Bette Midler’s touring company have been arrested on drug charges here in what her manager said Monday was an “illegal search and seizure.”
“They’re against pinball machines here.” said Ihe popular singer‘s manager. Aaron Russo. “Most towns are liberal in this day and age … but B u f f a lo is in the midst of this silly antivice crusade.”
Three members of Ms. M i d l e r ‘s b a c k – u p b a n d a n d f o u r technicians were arrested Sunday when police seized what they said was a half ounce of cocaine and 1 and 1/2 pounds of marijuana in a downtown hotel room.
