Kooky Bette Midler, the 5 Ft one rock-roll singer whose ’40s clothes are custom made by Bob DeMora, wears one of her six exaggerated high platform shoes bought “for practically nothing” from thrift shops. She wears the same shoes over and over again.
“That girl emulates the spirit of Mae West,” says Regensburg. She has a large bosom and accentuates her curves by wearing old clothes that whittle her waistline. And those shoes, which are really outrageous, have become part of her sex appeal.”
