Q. I saw the movie, “The First Wives Club” and I would like to know the marital status of the three stars, Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn, and do they feel about men in real life as they showed in the film? Harold B.
A. Diane Keaton, who had a long affair with Woody Allen before Mia Farrow bowed in, is not married. Goldie Hawn, who had been married at least twice; once to a member of the Hudson Brothers singing group, has been involved in a long-term relationship with Kurt Russell; Bette Midler is married. Goldie and Bette are both mothers as well. None of these women is a male-basher, if that was the intent of your question. They love men in real life, but in the film, the men obviously were far from the lovable sort.
