Hello BetteHeads and Vilanchites:

Hope everyone had a spectacular and safe July 4th holiday…and for all you others…hope you had an incredible weekend. Or maybe you celebrated along with your US friends…anything can happen if you’re on-line.

I am pleased to tell you that all new music is up and playing in the jukebox and songwriters’ sections, so check it out…

For those who don’t know…I just made a fabu announcement on the WE GOT BRUCE site…Bruce is officially heading to Broadway on Oct 5 for at least a 6 month run in the hit musical “Hairspray”….Mister V, who is currently playing the role of Edna Turnblad in the road production of Hairspray, will be replacing Michael McKeon. If you can’t make it to the Great White Way, you can catch Bruce and cast in San Diego beginning tomorrow night…I’m telling you…You don’t want to miss this already classic musical…you’ll leave the theatre with a song in your heart. What more could you ask for in these dire, dire times!

Back To Bette: In my continuing quest to compile a Bette Midler fave songs package culled from BetteHeads voting on their choice tracks from each of her CD’s, my polls continue…here are the results from the last 2 polls taken down:

Bette on TV: For those who missed Bette on Letterman…she’s a repeat on July 7th…if you miss it this time, something is terribly wrong with your kharma, so don’t blame me! 🙂 Inside The Actor’s Studio will be repeated on July 16th, so mark that on your calendar, too…

Save The Date: Those of you that go to Bette’s annual Hulaween should know that the date has been announced: Tuesday, October 26, 2004. If you plan to stay a few days while in New York…make reservations to see Mister V in Hairspray, too…make it a real happenin’ stay, ya dig?

Stepford Wives is still going pretty strong, even though it has dropped 990 theatres. From the estimates I have seen for this weekend, it has fallen to number 11 with a weekly gross of approx 4 million bring the cumulative gross to 54 million. In 2 weeks it will start playing overseas…it is not known whether Bette will attend any premieres for the time being…

No more news on the tour front for now either…so to me that means it’s still on…just keep your eyes and ears glued for any info….

Have a great week…

Love, Mister D
