The Divine Miss M comes to BBC Radio 2.
Bette Midler is renowned for her incomparable wit and brash sense of style: and this special programme features both. With Bette’s favourite music interspersed with her unique observations and stories about what those songs mean to her, this specially recorded, two-hour show proves The Divine Miss M is a good Bette for Christmas Day afternoon.
Bette features tracks from Bruce Springsteen and Sheryl Crow, Pink and Sam Cooke, Yvonne Fair and Tom Jones. Plus, there’s seasonal fare from Perry Como, Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald, and a few from Bette’s own catalogue including The Wind Beneath My Wings, Hello In There and a seasonal version of From A Distance.
