Midler, featured musical guest Stevie Wonder and comic Judy Gold kept the costumed crowd laughing and dancing throughout the night.
Midler, who told us she dressed as the “Bavarian Bride of the Dead,” joined Wonder onstage to perform “I Just Called to Say I Love You.” She returned to the stage for Wonder’s final song, “Superstition” and danced onstage.
“I must say, even dead I look fabulous,” Midler told the crowd.
Gold, who dressed as Chazz Bono , got some hefty Halloween laughs when she told the crowd that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney couldn t make it becaue he was mowing his own lawn.
Referring to recent reports of Ashton Kutcher s extracurricular activities, Gold also noted: Maybe he doesn t understand that he was hired to replace Charlie Sheen on TV and not in real life.
