Julien’s “The Collection of Bette Midler” auction totals over $500,000

Julien’s Auctions held their “The Collection of Bette Midler” auction this past weekend and Miss Midler’s auction items were a hit with her many fans.
The auction consisting of 307 lots, featured items from Miss Midler’s life and career and included a dress created by Bob De Mora (Est: $1,000 ~ $1,500), was featured on the cover of the 1998 album, Bathhouse Betty and was also used in video & photo shoots, as well as worn by Miss Midler at several live performances. This dress, Lot #187, sold for an impressive $20,480 with BP.
Other highlights of the auction included:
Lot #144: Cher Dress Designed by Bob Mackie: Est:$1000~$1500, Sold for $10,240
Lot #219: Bette Midler Fancy Yellow and Diamond Ring: Est: $4,000~$6,000, Sold for $12,800
Lot #238: Bette Midler Patek Philippe Wristwatch: Est: $7,000~$9,000, Sold for $32,000
Lot#251: Bette Midler Crystal Platform Shoes: Est: $500~$700, Sold for $10,000
Lot #187: Bette Midler Album Cover Dress
The auction total was $515,936.25 which included buyers premium (BP).
A portion of the proceeds from the auction benefited the non-profit organization Bette Midler founded “New York Restoration Project” (NYRP), a non-profit organization she created in 1995, which assists in protecting and preserving New York City’s public spaces and parks..
