“Prince of Persia” actor Jake Gyllenhaal joined Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Josh Groban, Trisha Yearwood and a number of other celebrities at the Lincoln Center‘s “A Celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream” held Monday.
At NY’s Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, the celebrities and singers gathered to extend their support for the event for the benefit Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.
The event featured key performances by a number of famous artistes, including Grammy-nominated Josh Groban, Paul Simon and Trisha Yearwood.
Apart from this, there were also additional surprise musical performances throughout the evening and appearances by Jake Gyllenhaal and Jimmy Fallon.
“This is the legacy of my husband, Paul, and he considered it to be his most important one,” said Woodward.
“It is for that very reason that I find this delicate way, in my best manners, to ask friends and supporters to come together to help raise money, it’s about helping the children who need it.”
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps is a growing global community of innovative camps and programs for children with serious illnesses and their families. Currently, over 14 member camps worldwide, including eight in the United States, five in Europe and one in Israel, as well as 10 programs in Africa, Asia and South America are included within the organization’s framework.
Earlier, the 2010 celebrations raised more than $3 million in support of the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps thanks to the generous participation and performances from Renee Zellweger, Bette Midler, Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder, John Mellencamp, Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett and many more.
I LOVE that photo. I have to say, one of my favorite things about Bootleg Betty (besides everything) is when you share rarely seen photos. I know I haven’t seen that one ’til now and I LOVE it!
You’re welcome Spence….glad you like!
