The 26th Annual Power Lunch for Women for the benefit of Citymeals-on-WheelsDate: November 16, 2012 at 12:00 pm
Location: The Plaza Hotel, 768 Fifth Avenue
The Power Lunch for Women has taken a permanent slot in the appointment books of New York City’s leading ladies in business, politics, entertainment”¦and the list goes on. This annual event began when Citymeals Founder Gael Greene and Board Member Joan Weill decided to spoof the concept of the power breakfast (largely a male institution) and hold a Power Lunch exclusively for women. Since then the lunch has grown into a networking imperative for the city’s most influential ladies…and the handful of generous men who pay $10,000 for the privilege of joining them.
On November 16, 2012, 375 “power women” will gather for Citymeals-on-Wheels’ 26th Annual Power Lunch for Women. This year’s lunch is hosted by CPS Events at The Plaza and Great Performances. The Power Lunch for Women will once again be the site of joyous reunions with old friends, warm welcomes to new members of the Citymeals family, and the pop of flashbulbs capturing extraordinary moments. Last year, we topped $1.2 million to deliver 190,000 meals to our frail and isolated elderly neighbors.
