During ”˜71 72 and now 73, female stars poured out with such goodies as Carole King, Carly Simon and Melanie. But there is a new girl now making an old style but a fresh sound.

Bette Midler excites the female rock scene in every way she can.

Her recent release. “ The Divine Miss M ’ includes tunes that make other female stars look dull. She can move a slow song with the same excitement as a fast song and vice versa, but will get a different point across in every note she sings.

Her first hit from the new album is “ Do You Want to Dance“, done with a great amount of feeling.

She sings. Leon Russell‘s “Superstar” in a beautiful way that makes it a masterpeice and not a commercial tune Miss Midler boogies through other songs especially in Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy ” and “ Friends”. I assure you not everyone will like Bette Midler music, but give it a try. you might like.
