6 Ways to Land Tickets to the Tony-Winning Revival of Hello, Dolly!

Hello, Dolly! has taken Broadway by storm. Audiences are calling it the theatrical event of a lifetime. Even the performers can’t believe the explosion of enthusiasm they experience night after night at the Shubert Theatre. With its wild success, the show is a seemingly impossible ticket to come by, but Playbill is here to make the impossible possible. Here are six ways to get your hands on tickets to the Tony-winning musical revival:

1. BUY TICKETS THROUGH THE BOX OFFICE
If you’re willing to pay full price (or splurge), there are tickets available for purchase at the box office or online for upcoming performances. To avoid the risk of fraudulent tickets, purchase from official ticketing websites like Telecharge.

The best availability for single tickets and group tickets (10 or more) is currently in November, though the best availability for premium tickets is this month! Of course, the farther in advance your purchase, the better the availability, and tickets are on sale through January 14, 2018.

Face value of tickets purchased at the box office are as follows: Standard orchestra tickets start at $189, standard mezzanine tickets at $159, and standard balcony at $89. Front Row Premium seats begin at $550, Premium tickets start at $299, and Mid-Premium tickets at $225. (All prices subject to change.)

2. GO FOR STANDING ROOM
The most affordable way to snag a “seat” are the standing room tickets. Tickets are only $47, subject to availability. Sold at the Shubert Theatre box office, these tickets are only sold on the day of the performance on a first-come, first-served basis when the show is sold out. Limit two tickets per person with payment by cash or credit card.

3. STAND IN THE CANCELLATION LINE
Sometimes, people with Hello, Dolly! tickets cannot make it to their scheduled performance. When ticket holders cancel, those tickets become available for purchase at the box office. There is a designated line outside the Shubert for hopeful ticket-buyers to wait. It is a first-come, first-serve system—and there is no guarantee that tickets will become available at all, or, if they do, how many. It’s a gamble, but could pay off. Tickets are sold at their original ticketed price.

4. SEE THE SHOW ON A TUESDAY
Two-time Tony Award winner Donna Murphy plays Dolly Levi on Tuesday evening performances. Her critically acclaimed performance in the Tony-winning revival is a bit easier to snag tickets to, and the show is the exact one you’d see any other night of the week. Plus, you’ll still see Tony winner David Hyde Pierce, Tony nominee Kate Baldwin, and Tony winner Gavin Creel in their stellar performances.

5. WIN TICKETS AT THE BROADWAY FLEA MARKET
On Sunday, September 24, the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS annual flea market hosts the Theater Development Fund’s PIK-a-TKT Booth, with a chance to win a pair of tickets to shows across Broadway, including the coveted Hello, Dolly! Mark your calendar and head to the theatre district on that date to enter. Eager entrants pay $1 per chance, $10 for 12 chances, and $20 for 24 chances to win one of hundreds of contributed pairs of tickets from virtually every Broadway and Off-Broadway show, including Hello, Dolly!.

6. ENTER THE TDF RAFFLE
Theatre Development Fund (TDF) is a great resource for Broadway tickets at a discount year-round. But, when it comes to Dolly! specifically, members of TDF have the opportunity to enter the organization’s fall raffle. One of the prizes is a pair of tickets to Hello, Dolly! If you’re not already a TDF member, visit TDF.org to see if you qualify. When the raffle comes around, entrants are asked to make a $5 donation to enter for the chance to win.
