New Hocus Pocus Poster Gives Fans False Hope. Don't Believe The Hype

Break out the black flame candle like it’s 1693 in Salem, Massachusetts, ’cause people are here for this. A movie poster for Hocus Pocus 2 is making the rounds that have lovers of the Sanderson sister all kinds of excited. Too bad there’s one problem with it that’s kinda big.

Bette Midler is serving up her best Winifred Sanderson look in this ah-may-zing “Hocus Pocus 2” movie promo.

If you can’t tell by these commentsHocus Pocus lovers are super excited at the idea of a sequel.

But there’s one (big) problem: It’s not happening — at least not like this.

Womp, womp.

A Hocus Pocus follow-up up is reportedly in the works but won’t include the original cast.

Last year, several outlets reported the Hocus Pocus reboot will be in the form of a TV movie with an all-new cast.

Deets haven’t been revealed, though the likelihood of people being excited over a new Hocus Pocus movie with none of the original cast is likely bland at best.

As for the movie poster, critics have seen it in different forms in the past and feel it gives false hope to those waiting for a Hocus Pocus sequel.
You know it’s bad when Snopes needs to debunk the rumor.

So if you see this witchy photo make the rounds, kindly break the news to any peeps who might be waiting to break out their broomsticks.

Fake news can be so damn evil.

At least we can look forward to the Hocus Pocus 25th anniversary special on the way
