Bette Midler was turned away from Thursday’s opening of “Fashion Underground: The World of Susanne Bartsch” at the Museum at FIT.

“It was ridiculous,” says a spy. “She walked away saying she didn’t care. But Dianne Brill waltzed right in.”
Brill was an “It girl” of the ’80’s and ’90s. Another source claims that when Midler got there, they were “at capacity.”

Or perhaps the door staff should be fired. Calvin Klein, Simon Doonan and RuPaul got in to see looks from Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
