A bruxh with an excited fan led to Bathhouse Betty, the title of Bette Midler first new album in three years.
“I was in my house down in Orange County. I was all by myself and I was nervous because I don’t like to be alone. It’s kind of scary,” Midler said in this week’s Billboard magazine.
“Somebody knocked on my door and it was a fan. He started shrieking “Bathhouse Betty!, Bathhouse Betty!,” and I thought ‘Oh my God, how mortifying’ but he left me with Bathouse Betty.”
