Twentieth Century Fox Launches Parental Guidance Movie Promotion Using Photobucket

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

Twentieth Century Fox Launches Parental Guidance Movie Promotion Using Photobucket “Stories” to Engage Movie Fans and Generate Excitement for December 25 Premiere

Season-long promotional campaign leverages the power of storytelling to reveal more about movie than typical online placements, trailers or teasers

Photobucket Corporation today announced that Twentieth Century Fox’s family movie comedy for the holidays, PARENTAL GUIDANCE, is the first Photobucket marketing partner to launch a marketing campaign including the Photobucket “Stories” platform. Photobucket Stories is not only appealing to consumers (see related release), but it also enables brands to further engage fans in a more interactive way by creating virtual stories that can be embedded and shared across the web and social networks.

Twentieth Century Fox’s PARENTAL GUIDANCE Stories includes an inside look at both families featured in the film: Marisa Tomei’s “new school” family, along with the “old school” family, featuring her parents played by Billy Crystal and Bette Midler. Their respective Stories detail some of the humorous generational differences with regards to childrearing, particularly when grandparents take over and the usual schedules, dietary restrictions and other rules go out the window. To see more of how the family dynamic stacks up, check out the Fox movie trailer for PARENTAL GUIDANCE here; the film arrives in theaters everywhere December 25.

“Photobucket Stories provides us a truly unique canvas, combining photos, videos and text to entice and engage fans,” said Zachary Eller, senior vice president of partnership marketing and promotions, Twentieth Century Fox. “We’re excited about the way the stories have been implemented and the extended look this provides into the opposing (and hilariously clashing!) parenting styles.”

Photobucket Stories for brands enables partners to:

  • Apply photo, video and text-based promotional content to allow your brand’s personality to shine through and distinguish itself
  • Share ”˜the story behind the story’ or a different perspective with your fan base to further engage and entice them
  • Provide visually-appealing and highly-shareable content that can be embedded on websites, blogs and shared across social networks

“Brands are striving to humanize the way they engage audiences, which means they are seeking new ways to tell a story, create original content and connect with people,” said Brad Davis, Photobucket’s executive vice president of sales. “Photobucket Stories provides a simple, flexible framework for creation and distribution of brand narratives. We are proud to work with Twentieth Century Fox on creating a compelling message for PARENTAL GUIDANCE, and we are excited to deliver this new medium to serve the evolving needs of brand marketers and advertisers.”
