The album which Neil Bogart President of Casablanca Records has called the “That’s Entertainment” of records features an incredible array of stars in once in a lifetime highlight of music song and comedy drawn from 25 years of the Tonight Show Many of the selections which were chosen from thousands of hours of material from the N B C archives and private collections are rare collector’s items which no longer exist in any other media.
The album celebrates historical performances never before available on record by such incredible artists as Ed McMahon, Jay Siiverheels, Bette Midler, Groucho Marx, George Carlin, Pearl Bailey, Doc Severensen. Peter Falk, Jack Webb, Ike and Tina Turner, Lucille Ball, Luci Arnaz, Desi Arnaz Jr, Art Fern, Lenny Bruce, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, The Smother’s Brothers, Richard M Nixon, John Twomey, Dean Martin, Buddy Hackett, Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, Joey Bishop, George Burns, Glen Campbell, Don Rickles, and Sammy Davis.
