Presale For Bette Midler’s Return To “Hello Dolly” Makes The Website Crash

NEW YORK – The presale of the final performances of the musical Hello Dolly! with Bette Midler this weekend led to the crash of the big ticket site Telecharge. The 72-year-old Midler posted a message on Instagram to thank her loyal fans for their perseverance.
“I’ll be down the stairs again, bitches!” Midler writes, with a photo of her on the famous staircase that plays a major role in the performance. “Thanks for all fans who persisted during the big Telecharge crash.”
The actress plays the role of coupler Dolly Levi in ??August for another four weeks. Midler played the role last year for ten months and got lyrical reviews and numerous prizes for this. The role has been taken over by colleague Bernadette Peters since January. The piece can be seen for the last time on Broadway in August; Midler has been playing the role in recent weeks.
It is the first real leading role for Midler in a Broadway production. The musical Hello Dolly talks about a coupler who has committed herself to winning the self-made millionaire Horace Vandergelder. She does this while the two shoppers of Vandergelder travel to New York for the first time to find true love.
