Actress Abigail Breslin has blasted stars including Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz for shaming Kim Kardashian over her nude selfie.

The reality TV star hit headlines on Monday (07Mar16) when she posted a naked picture of herself, with only a couple of strategically placed black bars protecting her modesty.
Bette and Chloe took to Twitter to condemn Kim for getting naked on such a public platform and for being a bad role model to her fans, but Kim fired back at them in Twitter tirade.
Abigail has now weighed in on the row and blasted those who bad mouthed Kim for exposing her body when other celebrities who reveal their figures do not receive the same treatment.
“Sl*t shaming isn’t chill ever,” Abigail tweeted. “Anybody who tries to say how a woman chooses to display their OWN body is wrong, is severely misinformed and misguided… If a guy posts a shirtless picture, people say how ‘steamy’ and ‘hot’ it is. But if a woman chooses to do that, it’s setting a bad example?
“We as HUMANS need to support each other and our individual choices. Not just men supporting just men and just women supporting just women… it isn’t fair to condone one person for expressing their beauty/body and condemn another for doing the same.”
Chloe retweeted Bette’s comment referencing the number of times Kim has stripped before, and then tweeted to Kim, “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.”
She has since clarified that she was not “sl*t shaming” Kim, by writing, “There’s a huge difference in respecting the platform that you’re given as a celebrity and ‘sl*t shaming’ something I never have done and would never do.”
Kim took aim at the If I Stay actress during her Twitter rant, posting, “let’s all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo.”
She also responded to Bette by writing, “hey @BetteMidler I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu.”
Kim then blasted British journalist Piers Morgan, and has since posted an animated video of her sipping tea and another nude photo with the caption “#liberated”.
Kim, Fuck-off.
Wow….I could probably spend all day on the back and forth between Bette and Kim, on this one. The story is featured in seven different prominent places on AOL, with virtually every magazine from Variety, Billboard, and the Huffington Post covering it. With about 100,000 re-tweets, this comment from Bette may be her all-time most viral.

I think the twitterverse has opened up an entirely exciting new forum for Bette, with one and two-liners that are, at times, an homage to the great comedy comebacks of the late, great Joan Rivers. Bette is very comfortable, and very funny in that space, I look forward to her tweets on a daily basis. Whether she’s talking about the environment, the class and dignity of former First Lady Nancy Reagan, or taking a fun-poked swipe at the Oscars, Bette totally rules!
