Miss M takes to the road

BETTE Midler kicks off her first tour in 10 years in August, with the crown jewel of the outing to be a record month long stint at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
The tour was announced at the Peninsula Hotel in las Angeles, where Midler is filming “Gypsy” For the-perfect tour set-up, Atlantic Records will release “Experience the Divine Bette Midler – Greatest Hits” June 22.
The compilation will include 20 of the Divine Miss M’s previously released hits, as well as a recording of “One for My Baby (and One More for the Road)” as performed by Midler last year on ‘The Tonight Show.”
The other cities on the tour are St. Louis, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington, Montreal, Saratoga, N.Y,
Toronto, Detroit, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Mass., and Los Angeles.
Midler also has a feature film debuting this summer, “Hocus Focus,” co-starring Kathy Najimy (“Sister Act”) and Sarah Jessica Parker (“Honeymoon in Vegas“). The trio play evil witches who awake after a 300-year sleep.
